Hi there!

       My name is Arijit (Uh-ree- g-th). I am second year medical student at the University of Alberta. I was born and lived in Melbourne, Australia for a couple of years, before finally settling in Calgary. I went to the University of Calgary and completed my BSc with Honours in Mind Science, Kinesiology.

      Though I am new to medcoach, I have previous experience coaching students with diverse educational backgrounds and learning requirements. For example I have tutored  high school students with learning disabilities successfully complete their diplomas and apply to post-secondary programs. I have also tutored undergraduate students, through a similar process, and have helped my students successfully apply for medical school. I also have experience mentoring students like through the Rajasthan Association of North America Youth (RANA Youth). I helped support young Indians and worked with each of my mentees and pushed them to improve, achieve their goals, while finding balance to also focus on their well-being. These are the experiences that will inform my teaching, but I am always wanting to improve and adapt my style to the needs of the client.

I have gone through the medical process more than once, so I know the common faults, but I also what can help make a great candidate and show committees why you would be a great fit for their programs. I aim to teach my clients these techniques, provide the best advice I have learned over time, while creating sometime to practice so students feel more confident going through the application process.

I understand that each student is different and may need help with certain things. Therefore from day one we will create a list of goals  and schedule that work with both of our schedules. I will try my best to create a learning environment that works best for you, but at any point if something I have planned is not working for you, let me know and together we can find a solution that works best.
