I had my first MCCQE1 coaching session with Alexa and was very impressed with the experience. Although I think it is difficult to fully evaluate a coaching relationship after just one session, Alexa was knowledgeable, approachable, reassuring, and genuinely took the time to understand my previous attempts and individual circumstances rather than simply providing generic advice.

What stood out to me was how motivated and thoughtful she was. Despite being early in her residency training, she has a strong understanding of the Canadian medical training and examination environment, and I found her perspective very valuable. She was also very encouraging, which is particularly important when preparing for a high-stakes examination.

I also appreciate that Dr. Leah Feldman remains involved and oversees the preparation alongside Alexa. Having that additional physician mentorship and oversight gives me confidence in the overall coaching process.

Since I am still early in my preparation, one area I hope we can continue developing together is making the strategy increasingly specific to my individual performance patterns, particularly distinguishing knowledge gaps from clinical reasoning, question interpretation, and exam-strategy issues. I think that level of personalization will be especially valuable given my previous attempts.

Overall, I had a very positive first experience and am looking forward to continuing the process. I would definitely recommend Alexa to other MCCQE1 candidates. She is professional, motivated, supportive, and clearly committed to helping her clients.
